A manufacturing company in Selangor seeks a Plant Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance processes, ensuring operational efficiency while adhering to ISO regulations. This role requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in plant maintenance, specifically within manufacturing and heavy machinery sectors. Responsibilities include managing budgets, implementing preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety systems. The position demands hands-on technical expertise and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Overseeing all maintenance-related process/activities of Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation & Control installations, in order to ensure maximum availability and reliability of plant within acceptable maintenance costs, remaining in line with ISO and Government regulatory guidelines, and meeting departmental objectives
Providing direction to the Engineering team in the implementation of preventive maintenance management plans
Analyzing database, identifying repetitive/unplanned breakdowns and preparing action plans for reducing overall breakdowns
Preparing and managing the department’s operating budget, finalizing plant at the end of each calendar year for the following year, and identifying expected expenses / costs for the year
Setting up adequate safety systems and ensuring that systems are in place and being practiced for plant and personnel safety
Overseeing minor plant improvements and/or upgrading projects
Overseeing spare inventory control in order to ensure cost are kept at health levels and within budget
Managing Engineering personnel and resources
