Job description

Data Center & Network Operations Engineer

As a Data Center & Network Operations Engineer, you will:

Monitor computer systems and mission/business-critical applications to ensure optimal performance and availability

Monitor IT and factory infrastructure, including networks and firewalls, and respond to alerts effectively

Monitor global application support systems and take appropriate actions based on alerts

Communicate with internal IT engineers via phone or face-to-face to escalate issues to SMEs

Perform Level 1 service restoration by following knowledge base and SOP documentation

Initiate and manage Severity 1 incidents, including contacting Sev 1 Managers and SMEs

Produce accurate shift handover and status reports

Implement operational procedures, policies, and standards to ensure service effectiveness

Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders

Work on a 24x7 rotational shift, ensuring consistent on-site presence for operational support

About You

You should have:

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Networking, Hardware, or a related field

Good communication skills in English, including report writing

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Willingness and ability to work 24x7 rotational shifts

Your Experience Includes

Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Data Center, Network, or Security Operations

Hands-on knowledge of Windows, UNIX, Linux, and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Fresh Service

Solid understanding of IT infrastructure (servers, networking, storage)

Experience following SOPs and escalating incidents appropriately

Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk, and similar

Experience supporting LAN, WAN, Firewall environments (CCNA is an added advantage)

Exposure to Security Operations, including Malware detection, SIEM, and related tools
