Job summary

A Malaysia-based accounting firm seeks an Accounting Assistant to support daily operations, including Accounts Payable and Receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily accounting operations, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) entries and ensure timely updates.
  • Prepare and issue invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
  • Assist in bank reconciliations and petty cash management.
  • Support month-end closing and financial reporting activities.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on accounting-related matters.
  • Assist in audit, tax filing, and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience using accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is required to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication skills and a positive working attitude.
