Job Description

Takeda’s Innovation Capability Center (ICC) in Mexico City invites you to join our digital transformation journey as a Communications Manager.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Global Chapter Lead of Transformation Enablement and working closely with the Head of ICC, the successful candidate will take the lead in producing compelling stories that showcase our data, digital, and technology achievements, celebrating our employees and attracting future talent. Responsibilities include detailing the communication strategy aligned with Takeda’s DD&T Communications Plan, managing brand and editorial plans across internal and external channels, creating multimedia content for external audiences, leading internal communications, and measuring the impact of communications against key metrics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tell compelling stories to showcase our achievements and attract future employees.
  • Develop, execute, and measure communications aligned with Takeda’s DD&T Communications Plan and brand guidelines.
  • Foster candidate engagement programs in support of team objectives.
  • Manage and implement branding and editorial plans across internal/external corporate communication channels, focusing on building brand awareness in Mexico.
  • Develop multimedia/omnichannel content for external audiences including universities, communities, student associations, industry chambers, and technology ecosystem.
  • Manage and execute internal communications within the ICC such as town halls, team engagement, leadership messaging, and internal storytelling.
  • Apply internal/external guidelines and procedures, ensuring high editorial standards across all communication publications.
  • Monitor effectiveness of communications against measurable objectives and continually strategize ways to drive engagement.
  • Drive and manage a number of communication projects and activities associated with the ICC and local community activities.
  • Lead communication project management, key message development, budget and vendor management related to communications.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of writing experience with excellent copyediting and proofreading skills in professional English.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, data, digital, technology, and agile services environment.
  • Experience in pharmaceuticals is a plus.
  • Experience with designing and running Recruitment Marketing campaigns.
  • Creative storyteller with a track record of engaging stakeholders and employees.
  • Strong eye for detail, strategic, analytical, and planning skills.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • Experience with intranet platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere, Audition).
  • Video editing and multimedia production experience.
  • Management of social media campaigns.
  • Professional English & Spanish language skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with media and industry executives.
  • Ability to deliver under high pressure and short deadlines.
