Financial Controller - REMOTE

This pivotal role will oversee all accounting functions across Canada and Latin America, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the implementation of robust internal controls. The role requires a strong leader capable of managing diverse teams and working collaboratively across cultures, driving strategic financial oversight while fostering a culture of accountability.

• Lead and oversee all accounting operations for Canada and LATAM.
• Ensure accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Review and validate financial statements in compliance with local regulations.
• Maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Manage and mentor accounting teams across multiple regions.
• Coordinate workflows, priorities, and deadlines.
• Act as the main point of escalation for accounting-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory entities.
• Identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, HR, and Executive teams.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent is a strong plus).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Proven experience managing accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of multi-country accounting processes.
• Experience with Canada and/or LATAM accounting frameworks.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems / ERPs.
• Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory).
