A construction company is seeking a Specialist in transportation and logistics to manage the delivery of homes constructed in Mexicali. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics with freight companies and ensuring timely deliveries across the U.S. Applicants should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, familiarity with low-boy platforms, and advanced English skills.

Formación

• 1 to 2 years of experience in transportation/logistics within manufacturing with crossings to the USA.
• Familiarity with low boy/low bed platforms.
• Extensive knowledge of freight company providers.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate delivery of houses to the construction site.
• Manage delivery of loose items included in shipments.
• Communicate with Program Managers for replacements.
• Plan delivery dates with site coordination.
• Generate purchase orders for raw materials.
• Coordinate payments with Accounts Payable.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Overview

Samara Living Mexicali is a construction company. We build and manufacture houses, modular units from start to finish in Mexicali. Once the interior and exterior are finished at the factory, each unit is loaded onto a low-loader truck and shipped directly to the customer's property in the United States.

Looking for

A Specialist in transportation, logistics, and lowboy/low-bed platforms. Crossings to the USA, high knowledge of transport companies, cost negotiation, monitoring of crossings to their destination in California, and advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the delivery of the houses at the construction site, involving the Freight transportation company, route, and delivery to the destination point.
• Coordinating for the delivery of items for “ship loose” delivery that are provided in the shipment.
• Coordinating for the delivery of replacement items to the site, as well as communication corresponding with the Program Managers.
• Coordinating with planning for delivery dates on site.
• Generation of purchase orders for raw materials and logistics suppliers.
• Coordination of payment to your service providers with Accounts Payable.
• Keep the work area clean and safe according to the 5S.

Qualifications

1. 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position in transportation/Logistics within the manufacturing, maquiladoras industry, with crossings to the USA.
2. Low boy/Low bed platforms.
3. With a wide knowledge of Transportation, Logistics, Freight company providers, and options.
4. English Advanced.
