A manufacturing company in San Luis Potosí is seeking a Production Leader to manage and optimize production operations. You will coordinate resources while ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates have experience in the automotive industry and a background in industrial engineering. Effective problem-solving and team management skills required. Medium/high level of English is valued.

Overview

Production Leader

Role Summary

Production Coordinator role focused on the management and optimization of production, time, quality and costs to achieve objectives by coordinating all the plant resources, following the quality standards, and the safety and environment policy established by the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage the production lines through the personnel in charge so that the production program is fulfilled using SAP and Captor.
• Support production supervisors in solving major problems by raising those that cannot be controlled with the current resources assigned.
• Monitor during the shift the progress against the program and the actions to solve identified problems.
• Coordinate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Human Resources and Materials to correct and improve production problems.
• Ensure safety practices, process controls, nonconforming product, order and cleanliness on the production floor.
• Assign, with the support of supervisors, qualified personnel to each work station to comply with standard operating methods and approved process controls that protect the quality of the manufactured product.
• Work with team leaders from other departments for staff training, troubleshooting and re-establishment of production.
• Control uptime and downtime (productive and non-productive time) and pursue continuous improvement in them.
• Ensure compliance with Safety and Hygiene Standards of the area.
• Responsible for the procedures of the area and for collaboration to obtain and maintain quality certifications.
• Responsible for compliance with the operational indicators (KPI) of the productive area.

Education

• Industrial Engineer or similar, specialization in Productivity or Quality (Desirable).
