The Technology Country Manager is the first contact point for business leaders and their areas in any matter concerning Technology processes, including new products, projects, support, etc. This role aligns all the different Tech areas with business for delivering solutions and proposals regarding any concern the business areas may have. As a Tech Country Manager is expected to lead activities directly on projects executed locally in the country. The Tech Country Manager gets to face a lot of exposure with business and Global IT leaders, getting to show results and insight IT area. In this role, you will also connect with an exciting global team, to exchange knowledge and best practices from other countries.

  • Tech Leader: Serve Business Users as first point of contact for all new Tech initiatives, changes, and implementations, promoting use of Agile methodologies in the organization.
  • Initiative Mapping: Analyze and document new Tech-related initiatives proposed by business units, ensuring clarity of scope, objectives, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Feasibility Evaluation: Assess technical and operational feasibility of proposed initiatives, including risk, cost, and resource implications.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes using GM Financial framework and best practices.
  • Local Implementations: Lead Tech implementations in GMF Mexico business, such as integration with local vendors and systems.
  • Tech Governance: Coordinate governance with local business areas and external providers to complete RFI process.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with Tech infrastructure, applications, security, and support teams to track progress and resolve implementation roadblocks.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, decisions, and implementation status. Provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all initiatives comply with internal Tech governance, Cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
  • MBR Sessions: Lead MBR sessions and produce summary reports for all local SME.
  • Tech Metrics & SLAs: Produce recurrent report with relevant metrics of incidents that affect business operations. Track Tech and business-related KPIs, identify deviations, and coordinate with relevant teams to define and follow up on remediation plans.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, or project coordination.
  • Strong understanding of Technology systems, enterprise architecture, and process modeling tools (e.g., BPMS, Visio).
  • Working knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control, and collaboration between development and operations teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and iterative delivery.
  • Experience with KPI tracking and performance dashboards is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and agile environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with GMF internal frameworks and tools is highly desirable.
