Formación

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in multinational companies or Big Four firms.
  • Proven ability to manage tax compliance independently.
  • Strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and regulations for CIT and VAT.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our LATAM Tax team. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day tax operations in Mexico, including compliance for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and Value Added Tax (VAT), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations. The successful candidate will work independently and provide support on strategic initiatives across the region.



Responsibilities


  • Independently manage all tax compliance activities for Mexico, including CIT and VAT

  • Prepare and review tax returns and related documentation, ensuring compliance with local laws and deadlines

  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess potential impacts on the business

  • Handle day-to-day tax issues and liaise with local tax authorities when required

  • Support the LATAM Tax team in complex matters

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Accounting, Treasury and Legal teams, to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting

  • Provide input and support for internal and external audits

  • Coordinate and manage tax refund requests and related documentation, if needed

  • Monitor and address issues related to blacklist regulations and compliance, if needed

  • Analyze contracts to assess and document tax implications

  • Perform and review monthly calculations for federal, state, and municipal taxes, as well as prepare and file tax returns

  • Calculate and manage tax attributes such as CUCA, CUFIN

  • Prepare and analyze reconciliations of bank statements and AP/AR reports

  • Review reconciliations of tax accounts

  • Monitor the company's complemento de pago



Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in multinational companies or Big Four firms

  • Proven ability to manage tax compliance independently

  • Advanced English skills, both written and spoken

  • Strong understanding of Mexican tax laws and regulations for CIT and VAT

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems

  • Knowledge of US GAAP tax compliance and reporting
