The ideal candidate will lead an accounting team, manage audits, and provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and 5 to 7 years of relevant experience are required, along with expertise in ERP systems and fluent English.

• 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting and tax areas in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation and international financial reporting standards (IFRS).

The Tax & Accounting Leader is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local and international tax regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in accounting and tax areas in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Skilled in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel.
• Mexican tax legislation, international financial reporting standards (IFRS), and local regulations
• Fluent English is a must

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and supervise daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Oversee external audits and coordinate with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), tax regulations, and financial reporting.
