A leading aerospace manufacturer located in Mexicali, Baja California, is seeking an experienced professional in composite fabrication to develop processes and manage technical projects. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in composite fabrication and strong project management skills. This role involves lead coordination across departments and ensuring compliance with manufacturing specifications.

• English spoken and written at an advanced level.

Overview

Objective: Provides the necessary support to facilitate the manufacture of the product, meeting the design requirements and quality standards and timely deliveries, seeking continuous improvement of manufacturing processes in accordance with the goals and / or objectives of the structural SBUs. Work closely with the other groups to update and improve the standard for manufacturing as applicable.

Main task: Responsible for developing processes and procedures to support the fabrication of composite honeycombs. Works on projects that requires major technical knowledge in composite materials. The candidate is required to perform planning, test execution, scheduling, and resource management.

Lead and coordinate people from different areas. Represents department and company with technical discussions and talks with vendors as required. Makes technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive manufacturing activities. Ensure compliance of our manufacturing methods with internal specifications as well as Aerospace Material Specifications. Oversee the implementation of new processes and methods as required

Requirements

• Professional degree: Aerospace, Mechanical Engineer or similar.
• Masters\' degree in related subject is a plus
• Minimum 7 years of experience in composite fabrication.
• Extensive understanding of composite fabrication to include structure layup, bonding, curing and other fabrication processes.
• English spoken and written (+90% advanced).

Knowledge

• Composite equipment/processes: autoclave, TTU, vacuum bagging
• Catia V5, Smarteam, MS project, excel, SPC software
• Project management, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, RCA, ERP.
• People skills, teamwork, communication skills
• Travel available. US Visa
