A leading construction firm in Veracruz is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with at least 3 years of experience in estimating and bid preparation. Responsibilities include interfacing with engineers, reviewing subcontractor proposals, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in estimating and bid preparation.

Job Description:

• Interface with co-engineers; secure all the necessary documents, plans and specifications required to assessments of a comprehensive proposal.
• Review, analyze & evaluate proposals submitted by sub-contractors.
• Determine / develop construction methodology & standards as they are defined by the bid documents and create construction standards for M&E estimating system.
• Solicits quotation from material & equipment suppliers, review their proposals for accuracy of pricing and compliance to the specifications, plans & requirements of the Client.
• Perform quantity take-off of materials, labor & equipment and prepare estimates in compliance with the bid documents.
• Maintain current knowledge of Philippine & International codes and standards.
• Produce a parameter report based on completed drafts, recap and final bid packages.
• Provide timely re-estimates of re-designed or value engineered projects or bids.
• Implement and overseer compliance of related processes based on the organization’s KTMS.PH Integrated Management System
• Execute all the necessary changes of related processes relevant to KTMS.PH Integrated Management System

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
2. Must have valid professional license issued by the Professional Regulation Commission
3. At minimum 3 years’ pro-active experience in estimating & bid preparation works.
4. Sound working knowledge of ISO standards, Safety rules & regulation and QA/QC standards, Fire & Mechanical/Electrical Code of the Philippines and National Building Code
5. Proficient in computer usage & operation such as MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.), MS Project software
6. Good communication skills both verbal & written
