Descripción del empleo

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily shipping operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This role involves preparing and verifying shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, monitoring shipments, and resolving logistical issues as they arise. The Shipping Clerk will collaborate closely with Warehouse, Inventory, and Customer Service teams to maintain efficient processes and deliver a smooth customer experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate daily shipments, ensuring all orders are processed accurately and shipped on schedule.
• Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, and invoices.
• Communicate with carriers and vendors to schedule pickups, track deliveries, and resolve transportation issues.
• Monitor inventory levels to support order fulfillment and minimize delays or shortages.
• Collaborate with the Warehouse team to ensure proper packaging, labeling, and handling of outbound products.
• Support the development and implementation of shipping procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and provide regular updates and reports to management.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with safety and shipping regulations.
• Respond to inquiries regarding shipment status and provide tracking updates to internal and external stakeholders.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate’s degree in logistics or a related field is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse coordination.
• Familiarity with shipping platforms (FedEx, UPS, DHL, or equivalent systems).
• Advanced conversational English or bilingual proficiency is required. Candidates who do not meet this requirement will not be considered.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ERP systems.
• Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems independently.
