Senior Core Network & 5G Engineer – Remote Support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 technical support for HSS, IMS, PCRF, DRA, STP, EPC, and 5G Core
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve critical network incidents
• Manage product-related queries and maintain strong communication with customer accounts
• Coordinate issue resolution with internal teams, partners, service providers (MNOs, ISPs, carriers), and on-site teams
• Participate in Technical Call Bridges for diagnostics and collaborative problem-solving
• Oversee hardware, VM, and software installation/configuration (OS install, RAID, HA modules, IP allocation)
• Collaborate with L1/NOC and L3 teams to filter and resolve issues
• Prepare incident reports and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Ensure SLA compliance and exceed expectations per contractual agreements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field
• 4–6 years of experience in O&M, VAS, and IoT environments with mobile operators
• Proficiency in Solaris/Linux and Shell scripting (Python preferred)
• Experience with Oracle/MySQL databases and SQL
• Strong understanding of mobile technologies: GSM, 3G, 4G, 5G, SS7, SIGTRAN, Diameter
• Familiarity with protocols: MAP, CAMEL, INAP, GPRS, Diameter, SMPP
• Knowledge of network elements: OCS, PCRF, Kafka, Zookeeper, Tomcat
• Experience with CDRs/Billing and tools like Wireshark, Postman, Jenkins, Ansible
• Understanding of API workflows and testing methodologies
• Advanced English (B2/C1) – essential for direct interaction with US-based clients
