At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We’re builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what’s next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What You’ll Build

The SAP Mexico Next Gen program is a global‑minded, strategic, paid graduate program that provides recent university graduates with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than a graduate program, it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

Position title: SAP Mexico Next Gen – Cloud Outage Communications Associate
Expected Start: January 2026*
Duration: 24 Months

As a Cloud Outage Communications Associate, you will join the Global Cloud Infrastructure Delivery (GCID) organization — the team responsible for operating SAP’s backend technology and data centers that power all SAP Cloud solutions worldwide.

You’ll become part of the Risk and Incident De‑Escalation team, which serves as the customer‑facing interface for GCID and ensures end‑to‑end coordination of incident resolution and communications.

You will play an essential role in the Cloud Outage Communications team, helping manage global communications during major cloud incidents through the Integrated Outage Communication (IOC) and customer communication processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the IOC process by coordinating and drafting timely, accurate, and transparent communications during global cloud incidents.
  • Collaborate closely with Major Incident Management, Cloud Operations, and Infrastructure teams to ensure clear, customer‑centric messaging about incident impact and resolution progress.
  • Assist in preparing communication updates for SAP executives, regional leaders, and field colleagues.
  • Monitor incident impact and accelerate accordingly, ensuring business and customer priorities are always represented.
  • Participate in a follow‑the‑sun shift model that ensures 24/7 global coverage, learning from experienced colleagues in multiple time zones.
  • Contribute to process documentation and improvement initiatives to enhance SAP’s incident communication quality and speed.

Your work will directly impact SAP’s reputation for trust and transparency by ensuring customers, executives, and field teams are well informed during critical service events. Through your communication, SAP customers will feel supported, confident, and informed — even in moments of disruption.

You will gain a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and operations within a global enterprise while developing executive communication, crisis management, and stakeholder alignment skills. This role will teach you how to translate complex technical issues into clear, business‑relevant messages, building resilience, empathy, and leadership as you operate in time‑sensitive environments. Working in a truly global model, you’ll collaborate daily with peers across regions and cultures, gaining direct visibility into how SAP manages large‑scale operations and communicates with executives, field colleagues and customers.

What You’ll Bring
  • Recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications, IT, Marketing, Journalism, International Business, Commerce, or Linguistics.
  • Experience or strong interest in crisis communication, customer support, or technology operations.
  • Comfortable managing complex or sensitive topics with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong interest in cloud technologies, incident management, and global collaboration.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (a second language is a plus).
  • Ability to perform under pressure and maintain clarity in fast‑paced situations.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills across diverse, multicultural teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in messaging.
Nice‑to‑Have
  • Familiarity with SAP Cloud portfolio or similar enterprise cloud environments.
  • Experience in virtual team collaboration or working in global, cross‑functional settings.
  • Curiosity about major incident management, executive communication, and service delivery.

Team‑oriented individual with an “always learning” mindset — eager to grow in cloud operations and communications, and to keep developing skills in SAP’s cloud environment.
