Position Overview
Salesforce is currently seeking multiple Technical Architects to join our Global Delivery Centre (GDC) team. The Technical Architect is responsible for designing and leading the successful delivery of complex Salesforce solutions for our customers, encompassing products and APIs, Apex / Visualforce, Lightning, mobile development technologies, and integration / ETL technologies.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, handle expectations, and set project goals.
- Translate business requirements into well‑architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform.
- Lead technical design sessions, architect solutions aligned with client business objectives, and identify gaps between current and desired end states.
- Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce projects.
- Define and enforce coding standards, lead code reviews, and ensure quality design patterns are followed.
- Handle technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration for Salesforce implementations.
- Maintain a target billable utilization aligned to the role.
- Diagnose and debug issues by deeply analyzing projects.
- Participate in pre‑sales activities such as discovery, technical deep‑dive sessions, and Proof‑of‑Concept development.
- Liaise with Salesforce product teams to support client implementations.
- Travel to client sites for projects as required.
Qualifications
- 9 years of CRM experience with a minimum of 6 years on the Salesforce platform.
- Expert‑level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, and Commerce Clouds.
- In-depth knowledge of systems architecture, scalable performance‑driven solutions, and key data volume limitations.
- Familiarity with data sharing, visibility considerations, and platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth).
- Experience with data integration tools and integrating Salesforce with business systems (ETL, CPQ, marketing automation, reporting, etc.).
- Strong grasp of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies.
- Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL).
- Expert‑level experience defining system architecture landscapes and delivering comprehensive solutions.
- Strong background in designing/developing large web‑based systems or complete software product lifecycle exposure.
- Active Salesforce certifications or ability to achieve relevant certifications upon hire.
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to core competencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work).
