A leading automotive supplier in León, Mexico is seeking a Regional Maintenance Engineer to manage maintenance systems for the Americas using SAP. The role includes supporting multiple facilities, developing training materials, and optimizing operations with 25% travel required. Regional Maintenance Engineer (RME) is responsible for all digital management of maintenance systems for the Americas region using SAP. The RME also supports manufacturing facilities to aid in root cause problem solving for maintenance systems and optimize maintenance digital systems. Work is performed in a fast‑paced environment within tight time constraints. Unusual hours and travel may be required.

The RME will provide support to multiple Americas C‑Power facilities. The position requires 25% travel and job duties will fluctuate based on the needs of each plant. The RME plans, manages, monitors, and implements standard maintenance operations within regional C‑Power facilities using SAP; collaborates with facilities to update or add guidelines as needed; develops training videos for maintenance activities and trains new team members in SAP maintenance; manages updates to regional controlled maintenance documents; and reviews safety incidents and participates in accident investigations at regional plants.

Activities

• Assist and support continuous improvement events such as digital maintenance and predictive maintenance workshops for current production.
• Assist plant maintenance personnel in evaluating critical spare parts and monitoring them using digital tools such as SAP/IRIS.
• Work with the maintenance team to develop training videos of preventive maintenance.
• Provide support to manufacturing facilities to aid in root cause problem solving for equipment issues.
• Train plant maintenance teams in SAP PM.
• Utilize documented best practices and lessons learned to ensure a common approach to trouble‑shooting and solving machinery issues.
• Continue education as required to research and understand industry advances that can improve Plastic Omnium's competitive position and share this information throughout the corporation.
