A global pharmaceutical leader is seeking a Payroll Specialist for their Human Resources department. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, be fluent in Spanish and English, and possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience in US & Canada within payroll processing roles. Responsibilities include managing the payroll process, conducting audits, and ensuring data integrity. This position is full-time, based in Veracruz, Mexico, with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible to manage, direct, control and ensure smooth process of the Company's payroll, employee benefits and the payroll operations.
  • Ensure payroll is processed on time and accurately as per the SLA.
  • Maintain special payroll data in payroll system such as social security data, tax data, court orders, advances, withholdings, gross‑up, sick pay adjustments, time/workplace related pay elements such as disability, substitution, shift allowances, call‑in and required manual calculations.
  • Check and evaluate gross‑to‑net calculation and conduct internal audits.
  • Data consistency check, correction and data exchange / monitoring HR CORE outbound and inbound (pay results, if applicable).
  • Monitors payroll relevant data in HR Core (salary, recurring payments etc.), whilst ensuring supporting documentation is in place.
  • Plays key role in the 'lock & unlock' process of critical data within HR Core.
  • Check the payroll results (e.g. whether an employee received overtime payments in the past payroll periods).
  • Execute reports for individual employees, to check the bank details or payments and deductions for an employee.
  • Supports the Payroll Admin in completing payroll operations for the purpose of ensuring the timely and accurate payroll generation.
