This is an exciting time to join our global Payroll Operations team. The team is growing and is building the future of Global Payroll by elevating processes and ways of working in the industry.
Key responsibilities
- The Mexico Lead will be responsible for executing and supervising the entire IMSS process, ensuring compliance with obligations to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), INFONAVIT, tax authorities, and state authorities.
- Special emphasis on compliance with obligations to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), INFONAVIT, SUA and local tax (ISN). This position ensures correct affiliation, movements, and payments related to social security, in accordance with current regulations.
- Verify that registrations, deregistrations, and salary changes are correctly reported to the IMSS (SUA/IDSE).
- Ensuring to generate and confirm that SUA is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with country specific government and each state regulations.
- Determine and validate employee‑employer contribution payments, and generation of the SUA monthly cédulas for each state and generate the “línea de captura” to make the payments.
- Generate IMSS installment payments via SIPARE.
- Serve as a point of contact with the IMSS requirements and notifications.
- Ensure all relevant IMSS processes and requirements are documented and maintained updated.
- Manage and be an expert in the use of platforms such as SUA, IDSE, SIPARE, and other related systems.
- Perform reconciliations of social security transactions.
- Calculate and validate INFONAVIT credit amortizations.
- Calculate and validate FONACOT loans for each state, and every month generate the cédula to pay the FONACOT.
- Respond to audits or requirements request by the IMSS, INFONAVIT, or SAT.
- Keep employer registry data and risk classifications up to date.
- Provide technical advice on social security issues.
- Corroboration for the calculate, declare, and pay payroll tax (ISN) on the corresponding state portals (for each state).
- Calculate and submit the bimonthly salary variability report (SBC variable) for workers with variable income, in accordance with the Social Security Law:
- Review of accumulated variable earnings.
- Validation of calculation bases.
- Registration and submission through SUA and upload to IDSE.
- Compliance with official deadlines (first 5 business days of the two‑month period).
Technical knowledge
- Advanced knowledge of SUA, IDSE, and SIPARE. (Calculations & platform)
- Advanced knowledge of the LSS, LFT, and INFONAVIT laws.
- Advanced knowledge of ISN.
What you bring
- Experience in México: 5 years in payroll processes with an emphasis on social security.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Exercise discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Practical knowledge of ISN declarations and payments in states where the company operates.
- An expert of global Social Security and local taxes.
- An analytical mindset with great problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a fast‑paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.
- It's not required to have experience working remotely, but is considered a plus.
- You write and speak fluent English.

The annual salary range for this full‑time position is $50,900 - $57,300 USD.
