Process Engineer Sustaining 4 Manufacturing (POST)
Key Responsibilities
- Expert understanding of wave solder processes.
- Create and design wave soldering fixtures and wave solder profiles.
- Conformal coating process knowledge.
- PresFit process knowledge.
- Routers process knowledge.
- Create and design PCB depaneling router fixtures.
- Create and design manual soldering fixtures.
- Define, implement, and control the production process in assigned low‑volume/high‑volume production areas.
- Provide engineering support for New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including process and equipment validation and first production unit build.
- Support generation and reporting of process metrics.
- Continuous improvement of process capability (Cpk) and process efficiency or OEE while supporting quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
- Leadership skills for managing and working with technical personnel to provide support and fulfill activities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies.
- Interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
- Estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines.
- Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
- Engineer with experience in SMT equipment (MPM, DEK, SPI, FUJI NXT, AOI, AXI, HELLER, BTU) in preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, process troubleshooting, SMT program debugging, using tools PFMEA, 8‑D, 5S, Poka‑Yoke, Kaizen, analytical skills, teamwork, leadership, and responsibility.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience.
Qualifications (Perfil)
- Ingeniería Mecatrónica, Electrónica o Sistemas.
- Conocimientos en Mecánica, Hidráulica, Neumática, Electricidad y PLC básico.
- Manejo de paquetes computacionales y de dibujo industrial (AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Manejo de herramientas de Lean Manufacturing: 5’s, Poka‑yoke, TPM, etc.
- Conocimiento en ISO/IATF (Process Map, PFMEA’s, SWS).
- Programación básica (C++, C#, Java, etc).
- Manejo de instrumentos de medición.
- Desarrollar, configurar y optimizar procesos industriales, desde la concepción a la puesta en marcha.
- Analizar, evaluar, cotizar, comprar e instalar equipos nuevos.
- Planear y dirigir las actividades de mantenimiento de equipos.
- Inglés medio/avanzado.
Optional Skills
- Modelado y simulación mecánica en SolidWorks.
- LabVIEW.
- Procesos de soldadura automática.
- Manejo de proveedores.

Process Engineer: Responsible for the design and implementation of electronic processes, instrumentation and equipment to ensure effectiveness in process engineering and design to bring manufacturing/production efforts to scale with maximum efficiency and productivity. Carry out trials, tests and/or experiments to support engineering and production activities. Assists manufacturing operations in resolving issues regarding equipment and systems. Develops and recommends new process formulas and technologies to achieve profitability and improve product quality. Establish operating equipment specifications and improve manufacturing techniques.
