A manufacturing company in Mexicali is seeking an MRO Buyer to manage procurement of materials and supplies, establish vendor relationships, and oversee inventory control. The ideal candidate will have a degree in supply chain management and strong negotiation skills. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Formación

  • Typically, a degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in procurement, supply chain management, or maintenance operations is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

  • Procure MRO materials and supplies required for operations.
  • Establish relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Track and manage MRO inventory levels.
  • Develop strategies to minimize MRO costs while maintaining quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of MRO purchases and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand material and service needs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
  • Address issues related to shipments and vendor conflicts.

Conocimientos

Job Description: MRO Buyer

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement of MRO Items
    • Identify, source, and purchase MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials and supplies, including spare parts, equipment, and services required to maintain operations.
  • Vendor Management
    • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors of MRO products and services.
    • Evaluate and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value.
  • Inventory Control
    • Track and manage MRO inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock to meet production and maintenance demands while minimizing overstock.
  • Cost Management
    • Develop and implement strategies to minimize MRO costs without compromising quality.
    • Monitor and manage procurement budgets and negotiate cost-saving measures.
  • Data and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate records of MRO purchases, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams
    • Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to understand requirements for materials and services.
    • Assist with the development of maintenance schedules and strategies to ensure the availability of necessary parts and supplies.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure that all purchased MRO materials meet regulatory and safety standards.
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practices in procurement, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Problem-Solving
    • Address issues related to delayed shipments, damaged goods, or incorrect orders.
    • Resolve conflicts between vendors and internal departments efficiently and professionally.
