We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Technician with at least 3 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the design, assembly, and testing of machines and prototypes. This position requires hands‑on expertise in mechanical assembly, proficiency in SolidWorks, and experience with metal processing equipment. The candidate should also possess basic electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn new skills to grow as a valuable resource within the team.

Key Responsibilities

SolidWorks Proficiency: Interpret 3D CAD models, create 2D drawings, and generate sketches for manufacturing and assembly.

2D Drawings & CAD Interpretation: Understand and work with detailed engineering drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly processes.

Mechanical Assembly: Assemble and test mechanical parts and machine prototypes with precision and adherence to design specifications.

Metal Processing Equipment: Operate equipment such as lathes, mills, and sheet metal machines to fabricate and refine components as needed.

Tolerance Standards: Understand and apply fabrication shop tolerances to ensure accurate fits and finishes for mechanical parts.

Electrical Knowledge: Perform basic wiring tasks, including wire sizing, routing, and connecting electrical components such as motors, sensors, and relays.

Motor Sizing & Electrical Concepts: Demonstrate understanding of motor sizing, current, voltage, power, and relay systems to support machine functionality.

Microcontroller Programming (Plus): Knowledge of microcontroller programming is a bonus, with the ability to assist in integrating electronic controls into mechanical systems.

Attention to Detail: Exhibit patience and precision in reading, interpreting, and working with 3D models and fabrication requirements.

Problem‑Solving & Analysis: Provide detailed analysis and solutions for mechanical and electrical settings during assembly and testing.

Adaptability: Willingness to learn new skills and technologies as required by the job to improve efficiency and value as a team member.

Experiences/Education - Required

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in a technician role related to machine manufacturing, assembly, or R&D.

SolidWorks Expertise: Ability to create and interpret 3D models, 2D drawings, and sketches.

Mechanical Skills: Hands‑on experience assembling mechanical parts and working with metal processing equipment (lathe, mill, sheet metal machines).

Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of motors, sensors, relays, wiring, and wire sizing.

Tolerance Application: Familiarity with fabrication shop tolerances and their application in manufacturing processes.

Detail‑Oriented: Proven ability to read and understand complex 3D models and ensure precision in assembly.

Problem‑Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Adaptability: Eagerness to learn new skills and technologies to enhance capabilities and value on the team.

Experience with microcontroller programming and integration of electronic controls.

Familiarity with automation systems and programmable controllers (e.g., PLCs).

Prior experience working in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
