The American Bus Association (ABA) is seeking a strategic Manager of Education & Certification to lead the, and growth of the association’s education and certification programs for the bus and group travel industry.
Reporting to the Vice President of Membership & Marketing, this role owns ABA’s education and certification framework across all member types and councils, ensuring learning is practical, cohesive, and aligned with real-world member needs. Education and certification are core to ABA’s member value, supporting safety, operational excellence, and professional development across the industry.
This is a member-facing, field-informed role. The Manager works closely with ABA councils—particularly Driving Force and the Bus Industry Safety Council—along with staff and external partners to translate industry expertise into structured, scalable education and certification pathways. The role requires both strategic vision and hands‑on engagement, including attending in‑person meetings and learning directly from operators, safety leaders, and maintenance professionals.
ABA is headquartered in Washington, DC, with a hybrid work schedule. This position may be based remotely, with quarterly travel to DC for strategic planning and staff meetings. We offer a competitive benefits package designed to attract and retain top‑tier professionals committed to excellence.
