Descripción del empleo

The Logistics Specialist has a pivotal role. Detail-oriented and responsible for managing end-to-end supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods, and optimizing logistics processes to enhance service delivery and reduce operational costs. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of continuous improvement in logistics performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and oversee logistics operations from order placement to final delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of products.
  2. Analyze logistics performance metrics to identify inefficiencies and implement strategies for process improvement and cost reduction through KPI.
  3. Collaborate with Import/Export, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to negotiate shipping rates, track shipments, and resolve logistics-related issues.
  4. Utilize logistics software and tools to monitor shipments, forecast demand, and generate performance reports for management.
  5. Ensure compliance with all transportation and logistics regulations, including international shipping and customs requirements.
  6. Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.
  7. Main contact for inbound and outbound shipment status updates, including location, ETA, customs holding issues, carrier logistics and compliance issues, and border crossing details before arrival at the final destination.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and systems, including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in international logistics and familiarity with customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with data analysis tools and reporting software.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and SAP order-to-cash systems.
