The role involves processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting month-end closes. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 2-3 years of relevant experience. This position allows for a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility while contributing to the finance team effectively.

Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant

What's the role?

HERE's Revenue Accounting team is looking for a Junior Accounts Receivable Accountant. The team consists of currently 10 employees in total, located in Chicago, Leon, and Eindhoven. Revenue Accounting is responsible for managing and administrating the revenue for North America. Collaboration, communication and knowledge sharing are crucial for the success of the team.

Main responsibilities

• Process incoming payments and perform daily cash application activities, including recording deposits and posting cash to the AR sub-ledger.
• Reconcile the AR sub-ledger to ensure all payments, taxes, and adjustments are accurately recorded.
• Investigate and resolve customer payment discrepancies, overdue invoices, and AR-related inquiries.
• Drive timely collections by sending billing reminders, contacting clients, and monitoring AR aging reports.
• Support month‑end close by ensuring all revenue is recorded in PeopleSoft and preparing necessary journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with AR reporting, audits, and additional accounting projects as needed.

In this role you will report to the Team Lead who is based in Leon.

Tools & Systems You’ll Work With

PeopleSoft (ERP System), iCertis (Contract Management System), Salesforce, Zuora, Excel, Tableau, Cashpro, Ayden.

IMPORTANT

This position follows a hybrid working arrangement, three days on‑site in our LEON - MEXICO office and two days remote (work from home).
