A leading financial services company is hiring an Insurance Senior Manager in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México. The role entails the development and administration of insurance products tailored to the local market. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in insurance, preferably within substantial markets. Strong English communication skills, management experience, and a solid understanding of legal frameworks are essential. Formación

  • 5+ years' experience in insurance markets in Mexico, preferably in massive or international markets.
  • Knowledge in insurance products such as Motor, GAP, Credit Life and Extended Warranty.
  • Experience within the Automotive, Banking, or Financial Sector.

Responsabilidades

  • Define the local insurance roadmap according to market needs.
  • Manage ongoing insurance products and ensure reporting capabilities.
  • Select partners and ensure execution of contracts with appropriate controls.

Insurance Senior Manager Mexico Gm Financial – Monterrey, Nuevo León, México

Insurance Senior Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing administration of insurance products and services in Mexico.

Responsibilities
  • Define the local insurance road map according with IO guidelines and market needs and trends
  • Manage ongoing insurance products in conjunction with all internal areas involved, and external providers, ensuring adequate controls and reporting
  • Select the right partners for the insurance business and ensure the execution of each contract, which must include SLA for the different procedures
  • Analyse the technical result of the product with clear understanding of claim ratio and underwriting processes to have a profitable business for GMF and providers
  • Monitor the profitability of the programs to meet and exceed business plan key performance indicators including fee income and penetration in each product
  • Develop and implement new products according with the business requirements and customers’ needs
  • Support commercial team in the right strategies to commercialise insurance products to the network
  • Create and promote tactical action to encourage the sell and the KPI achievements by dealer with the support of the field team
  • Influence and participate in insurance decisions with GM to strengthen brand product with sales, after sales and finance areas mainly
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with the different providers
  • Help develop and monitor sales & marketing initiatives between GM, GMF, dealers and their customers
  • This includes opportunities such as re‑solicitation schemes, cross‑selling activities, and campaigns
  • Engage and develop the country insurance teams
  • Ensure that all the products meet the insurance technical, legal, and regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, Finance, Actuary, Economics or related is a must
  • At least 5 years' experience in insurance markets in Mexico (insurance company or broker), preferably knowledge in massive markets or international markets
  • Knowledge in insurance products such as Motor, GAP, Credit Life and Extended Warranty
  • Experience within the Automotive, Banking or Financial Sector or as a related third party with related products
  • Experience placing insurance through third parties (preferred)
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Fluent English Skills (Will be evaluated during interviews)
  • Interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficient Technology Skills including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Solid understanding of the insurance legal and regulatory frameworks
