A technology solutions provider seeks a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect in Veracruz, Mexico. The ideal candidate will lead and support project delivery while interacting with clients and managing teams. Responsibilities include owning solution design, leading functional workshops, and ensuring adherence to best practices. Candidates should have extensive experience with Microsoft platforms and strong organizational skills. A background in managing large projects is essential, along with excellent communication abilities.

HCL Tech’s Microsoft Business Applications Practice - (MBAP) is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect to join their award‑winning and growing team.

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting the customer requirements and completing the project.

The Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect will be comfortable in all aspects of delivery.

They must be capable of switching between supporting or leading customer‑facing functional workshops and a group of functional consultants and business analysts, supporting technical roles including interface design, data configuration and migration and development teams, either customer based or HCLTech centric onshore and off‑shore teams, working with project and program managers to effectively report on progress and risks and issues – to liaise with both internal and customer senior stakeholders – adjusting the approach and language as required for each interaction.

The candidate must be extremely detail‑oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast‑paced environment.

This person will be a confident communicator and a good co‑ordinator whilst being able to handle stakeholders at all levels within an organisation. They will have experience of managing teams of consultants and will be used to owning elements of the functional design and delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities

Drive quality and consistency within the company and champion the use of the Proven Process methodology.

Ensure methodology is adhered to on all projects.

Assume overall responsibility for solution design and architecture, including clear visibility of transition from as‑is solution landscape to to‑be solution landscape through delivery and ownership of solution overview diagrams.

Act as a functional lead across multiple functional streams and demonstrate a clear approach to methodology as well as functional capabilities.

Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements and design appropriate solutions.

Own the overall solution design.

Work alongside an interface / integration lead and demonstrate a clear approach to methodology and technical capabilities.

Lead functional integration workshops with customers, document requirements and design suitable solutions.

Work alongside a data migration lead and demonstrate a clear approach to methodology and technical capabilities.

Lead functional data migration workshops with customers, document requirements and design suitable solutions.

Own the overall configuration and gold build of the implemented solution.

Advocate for adherence to standards and best practice.

Understand the capabilities of the functional and development team, providing support and assistance when needed.

Work with customer and internal teams on solution, business and infrastructure architecture where required.

Provide requested functional, business and solution support to our customers during D365 F&SCM implementations and collaborate with D365 CE Architects on hybrid / enterprise projects.

Write and review high‑level and detailed solution architecture documentation in line with Proven Process methodology.

Create solution and functional documentation for the project, ensuring all required documentation is completed to the required standards.

Engage with the test team to ensure the solution is tested thoroughly.

Stay current on D365 F&SCM and related technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution.

Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to grow the team’s effectiveness.

Expect flexibility with time and capability to work in a process‑oriented environment.

Exhibit excellent communication skills and the ability to operate within cross‑functional teams.

Advise customers on best practices for D365 F&SCM processes, user interface, and architecture.

Collaborate with the training team to deliver and create super users and end users training as needed.

Participate and lead pre‑sales engagements.

Work effectively with the sales team on delivering tender response documents, estimates and customer demonstrations.

Facilitate functional sessions and weekly status meetings with clients, including the ability to drive a client to decisions.

Own project deliverables (status reports, documentation, test plans) and take personal ownership of the success of deliverables and projects.

Provide weekly status reporting along with Technical Architect and Project Management.

Skills and Experience

Solid Microsoft platform software experience.

Extensive experience as either a functional lead, solution with AX or D365 F&O.

At least 5 end‑to‑end full life cycle implementations of AX or D365 F&O.

Expert knowledge of SCM including stock, landed costs, freight and proven industry experience in a number of industry sectors.

Experienced in the use of Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables.

Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools.

Able to manage or lead multiple large projects (6‑24 months) with advanced organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication.

Comfortable talking with clients at all levels within an organization.

Ability to balance short‑term demands while maintaining the long‑term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process.

Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.

Ability to work remotely and on customer site.

Regular travel expected.

Qualifications

MBA / M.Com / B.Com / B.Tech / B.E or any other equivalent graduation from a reputed university.
