About Reap
Reap is a global financial technology company headquartered in Hong Kong with employees across multiple countries. We enable financial connectivity and access for businesses worldwide by combining traditional finance with stablecoins for efficient money movement.
Through our corporate cards, payments, and expense management products, Reap helps businesses scale globally. Our APIs allow partners to embed Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS), cross-border payments, and stablecoin-enabled finance directly into their own products.
Backed by leading investors including Index Ventures and HashKey Capital, Reap is building the infrastructure for borderless, programmable finance.
Why Reap?
Reap is at a pivotal scaling moment.
Our cards and payments stack is live, proven, and processing real volume. The next phase is about scaling reliably across LATAM, while staying tightly integrated with teams and systems.
This role sits at the heart of that effort. You’ll help shape the engineering foundations that power card issuing, transaction processing, and payments infrastructure across markets— with real ownership, real stakes, and real impact.
This is not a “people-only” management role. You’re joining while the system is still being actively shaped, and your technical judgment will directly influence how Reap scales over the next 12–18 months.
Engineering at Reap (LATAM)
The LATAM engineering team operates as a high-seniority, high-ownership group responsible for some of Reap’s most critical systems.
We work with:
- Collaborative ownership
- Team members share responsibility for outcomes and proactively raise ideas and solve problems across functional boundaries
- Focus on velocity
- We prioritize clear planning and scope definition to deliver both speed and quality
- Asynchronous communication
- As a distributed team, we emphasize written documentation and structured communication through Notion, Loom, and Linear
We value engineers and managers who are:
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Willing to stay close to code and architecture
- Able to turn complex, cross-region constraints into simple, durable systems
What You’ll Do
Lead & Scale Engineering Teams
- Lead a team of senior backend and full-stack engineers in LATAM.
- Provide technical direction, coaching, and feedback while maintaining a high bar for execution and ownership.
- Partner closely with Product, Risk, and Compliance to deliver systems that work in regulated, real-world environments.
Stay Hands‑On with Technology
- Remain actively involved in architecture, system design, and critical code paths.
- Review production code, guide technical decisions, and help resolve complex incidents.
- Ensure systems are designed for scale, reliability, and operational clarity.
Build & Evolve Core Fintech Systems
- Contribute to the design and evolution of cards and payments platforms, including transaction flows, integrations, and supporting services.
- Apply your Cards-as-a-Service (CaaS) experience to anticipate edge cases, failure modes, and scaling challenges.
Drive Execution in Ambiguous Environments
- Translate evolving requirements and cross‑time‑zone inputs into clear execution plans.
- Balance speed with correctness in a high‑stakes, money‑moving environment.
Improve Engineering Effectiveness
- Identify and remove bottlenecks in delivery, tooling, and processes.
- Help teams operate more autonomously through better documentation, SOPs, and technical standards.
