A leading technology company in Salamanca is seeking an experienced Engineer Lead to design and lead teams for their innovative platform. You will utilize your Golang expertise among other technologies to drive system performance and team success. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years in backend development and a solid grasp of microservices, APIs, and Agile methodologies. This role offers a dynamic work environment aimed at delivering impactful tech solutions.

Responsibilities

As a Engineer Lead at Rappi, you will be responsible for designing and lead the teams and systems that power our innovative platform. You will leverage your expertise in Golang, asynchronicity, Kafka, SQS, as well as monitoring tools like New Relic or Splunk to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

As part of Rappi, you will be responsible for :

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
• Reliability and performance improvements discovery, prioritization and implementation
• Review and refinement of technical aspects of business development proposals
• Leading the team in implementing engineering best practices
• Keeping the team members challenged and motivated
• Guiding the team in backlog grooming
• Preparing and performing sprint releases
• Maintaining on-call support schedule
• Team microservice's internal architectural decisions – collaborating with other EL / EM on the design of solutions spanning multiple teams
• Team metrics weekly reporting

• 4 years of backend development (ideally with GO)

• Experience with ESP (Event Streaming Platforms) like Apache Kafka
