Job Overview

Our client's Microsoft Business Solutions team is a Microsoft Gold Partner and leader in Microsoft software implementations for medium to large organisations, providing their clients with the ability to keep up with the ever‑changing digital world by implementing Microsoft’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Engagement (CE) software from the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) software line.

Role Overview

The Dynamics CRM Senior Consultant is a core team member of KPMG’s customer delivery of Microsoft Dynamics 365 centred solutions. The Senior Consultant will be involved in the business processes and solution design and will be hands‑on configuring and customising the implementation of Dynamics CRM solutions working with both onshore and offshore development teams. The position may require business travel.

Silema, Malta – Hybrid; Full‑time, Permanent; Working Hours: GMT +1; Salary: Base + Benefits (Paid in Euros €); Relocation: VISA & Relocation Package Included.

Requirements
  • University graduate with relevant degree within a computing or business discipline.
  • Microsoft D365 CE Certifications.
  • Strong functional knowledge and understanding of Microsoft D365 CE covering a wide spectrum of industries and sectors.
  • At least 8+ years of hands‑on proven functional experience in D365 CE configuration, standard workflows, dashboards, forms & views customisations, Report development.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of all modules within D365 CE including Sales, Marketing, Customer Service & Field Services.
  • Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
  • Good understanding of Dataverse including customisations and development of Business Data Models for different solutions.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Accelerators, industry templates and add‑ons.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation & maintenance of a number of solutions within large client companies, preferably across a number of business verticals (Healthcare, Education, Banking, Manufacturing etc.).
  • Proven ability to develop a clear understanding of clients’ needs and the ability to incorporate them into a solution.
  • Experience of consultancy roles in software delivery.
  • Experience in a delivery‑oriented IT environment using waterfall, agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Adept at Business Requirement Analysis.
  • The ability to see the greater picture and suggest solutions both within and outside the current implementation.
  • Experience of supporting pre‑sales activities is an advantage.
  • Project documentation experience especially for work packages to be implemented by offshore teams.
  • Business process mapping, modelling and documentation knowledge.
Responsibilities
  • The senior consultant will work as a techno‑functional lead to analyse, design, develop, test, maintain and support applications developed using D365 CE by working closely with client teams and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to activities as required including building demo and proof of concept solutions for various client presentations.
  • Work on the creation of Dynamics 365 solutions and industry templates.
  • Meet and exceed customer expectations of business knowledge, skills and behaviour.
  • Support practice & business development activities such as Pre‑Sales, Recruitment, Mentoring Juniors, Sharing knowledge, Initiatives etc.
  • Ensure timely completion of internal processes and mandatory trainings.
  • Carry out additional duties as may occur from time to time as instructed and agreed by the management team.
  • Represent our client’s Microsoft Business Solutions team in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  • Follow our client’s Information Security Policies (ISP and ISMP) at all times.
  • Perform project responsibilities toward the team (lead), client (client facing) and governance (aiding Project Managers).
  • Organise, manage and document workshops, meetings and requirement sessions with client representatives and project stakeholders.
  • Verify customer requirements to ensure completeness and correctness by working with technical consultants / leads.
  • Ask relevant and right questions to gather additional information to avoid confusion.
  • Provide accurate estimations for tasks.
  • Responsible involvement in low‑level and high‑level design; architecture / design of project; creation and elaboration of requirements / tasks to be given to technical leads / developers / team members; project documentation.
  • Lay down quality guidelines (requirement traceability, acceptance criteria, non‑functional requirements, other design standards etc.) for the project.
  • Work closely with Technical Lead to set up quality gates and quality threshold parameters for project.
  • Complete allocated tasks as per schedule with appropriate quality.
  • Augment decision‑making for “inventing vs. re‑using” knowledge / assets with appropriate reasoning.
  • Get consensus from stakeholders and document decision for all project‑related decisions.
  • Proactively raise and document concerns, risks, impediments pertaining to various aspects of project and provide support to mitigate them with appropriate RACI.
  • Triage bugs, issues etc. along with Technical Lead during testing (System, UAT, Integration etc.)
  • Decision making with appropriate / relevant insights towards team.
  • Provide a clear definition for “Done”.
  • Allocate work items / tasks to team members.
  • Perform review of work done and provide necessary review comments to enforce quality.
  • Provide required guidance and support to team members when stuck.
  • Provide details to team on quality standards to be adhered.
  • Setup and conduct daily stand‑up meetings with team.
  • Conduct monthly technical retrospective meetings with actionable outcomes.
  • Keep a check on everyone’s understanding of end‑goal.
  • Involve appropriate team members for necessary decisions and take accountability of decisions.
  • Advocate for feature reusability and efficiency gain.
  • Participate in customer workshops as necessary.
  • Provide guidance to customer and their IT / Business Analysts team.
  • Provide sufficient reasoning for features that look “out of league”; challenge the client on such requirements and suggest trade‑offs as necessary.
  • Provide clear weekly progress / status report for self and team.
  • Highlight risks or impediments in appropriate forums.
  • Provide guidance and support in setup of Dev Management processes.
  • Guide in setting up right DevOps system & tools; setup CI / CD pipeline with appropriate templates.
  • Verification of Automate Build and release management (including Roll‑back plans).
  • Setup and verification of right branching and merging strategy.
  • Represent & provide opinions in management reviews or steering committee reviews.
  • Ensure team calendar is up to date; ensure appropriate work distribution, backup / backfill planning.
  • Document Lessons Learnt and share it in broader forums.
  • Provide immediate and appropriate feedback to team members.
