A leading automation solutions provider in Tijuana is looking for a Customer Service Engineer to support the Americas sales team. This role involves providing technical expertise on automation components, developing test setups for customer applications, and communicating effectively between sales and R&D. The ideal candidate should hold an engineering degree, have strong technical writing and communication skills, and be fluent in English. Experience in a similar position is a plus.

Descripción del empleo

The Customer Service Engineer will be supporting the Americas sales team by providing technical expertise on the company’s product portfolio of automation components, mainly Solid State Relaysand Motor controllers.

He/She will be responsible for developing a strong technical link between the sales team and the R&D department.

Responsibilities
Technical Expertise and Support
  • Develop a good technical understanding about the company’s products and the applications where they are used.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to the sales team on technical issues.
  • Be able to build test setups in laboratory to simulate customers’ applications.
  • Providing feedback about customer-used cases to the R&D department.
Claims Analysis and Trouble Shooting
  • Analyze parts returned from field with the scopeof finding the root cause of failure and follow with possible corrective orimprovement actions with local quality department or customer applicationdepending on the nature of failure.
  • Performroot cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why’s, or Ishikawa.
  • Travelling to visit customer sites may be required accordingto the business needs in order to understand new customer applications or trouble shooting problematic sites/applications.
Requirements
  • Holds an electrical or electronics engineeringdegree or equivalent.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • Familiarity with quality tools: 8D, 5 Why’s,Pareto, FMEA, considered an assent.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on his/her ownwithout constant supervision.
  • Any experience in a similar position will beconsidered as an asset.
