  • MyBuilderCPA is a remote accounting firm dedicated exclusively to serving residential homebuilders who use BuilderTrend or JobTread. Our client‑centric approach combines transactional accounting, financial reporting, and tax prep to deliver continuous accounting services tailored to each builder’s unique business. We go beyond the books, helping clients streamline systems, solve complex challenges, and plan confidently for the future.

As our Client Success Advocate, you’ll operate at a level above the Staff Accountants, engaging directly with clients on complex financial topics, providing expert guidance, and anticipating their needs before they arise. Your mission is to ensure that clients not only get clean books but also gain insight and confidence from the numbers you help deliver. You’ll play a critical role in refining processes, guiding team members, and freeing up leadership to grow the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact for escalated client inquiries, complex financial questions, and strategic conversations.
  • Interpret financial reports and assist clients with business valuation, acquisition preparation, and other advanced topics.
  • Provide expert support on QuickBooks, Buildertrend, and / or JobTread integrations.
  • Coach and review work completed by Staff Accountants, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Respond to client needs for documentation (e.g., duplicate tax returns, reporting breakdowns, deadline alerts).
  • Collaborate with leadership on refining firm‑wide workflows and enhancing the client experience.
  • Help build and maintain a proactive, high‑performance service culture.
Qualifications
  • CPA designation (preferred) or equivalent advanced accounting credentials.
  • 5 or more years of accounting experience, preferably in a client‑facing, consultative role.
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and / or Buildertrend (required: proficiency in at least one).
  • Outstanding critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive mindset, able to anticipate client needs, deadlines, and next steps.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation habits.
  • Clear, professional, and friendly communication style.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and creating solutions independently.
  • A passion for supporting small businesses in the construction industry.
