Job Description

Scope of Position

The focus of a Senior Sales Executive is on achieving results that are aligned with the overall organization and our strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of the Senior Sales Executive role at Expeditors. Our Senior Sales Executives are focused on driving business development on our larger, more strategic accounts. They orchestrate involvement of multiple people in our sales process to secure new customer revenue for our district offices and network. The environment is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunities, recognition, and rewards for achieving results. This position reports to the District Manager.

Key Deliverables

  • Generate leads, manage a list of 40 Named Accounts (companies with >$20 million USD annual revenue), and successfully close new logo and new business with target and prospect accounts based on established revenue expectations.
  • Ensure timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Coordinate customer and Expeditors network relationships, collaborating with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management teams.
  • Create value-added solutions for customer logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Stay updated on product and industry knowledge through certifications and training.
  • Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary paperwork.
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections when needed.
  • Support additional assignments as required to meet company needs.

Qualifications
