Human Resources Manager

This role is critical to ensuring alignment between business strategy and people operations in a dynamic environment with over 4,000 employees, both unionized and salaried. The ideal candidate brings broad HR expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, matrixed organization.

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to the HR team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and development.
  • Lead or support labor relations processes, including union engagement, contract interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with internal policies and market benchmarks.
  • Ensure compliance with labor law, health and safety regulations, and corporate governance standards.
  • Drive organizational development initiatives such as talent planning, leadership development, and cultural alignment.
  • Supervise employee services including transportation, cafeteria, and site-level engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operations to align HR practices with business objectives.
  • Monitor HR metrics and lead continuous improvement efforts in retention, engagement, and performance.
