An automotive company is looking for a Buyer 2 to join their team in Toluca, México. This role involves developing strategic sourcing plans, negotiating prices, and managing supplier relationships. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement. Advanced English skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office are necessary. Sponsorship: No. THIS IS NISSAN – We are currently looking for a Buyer 2 to join our team in Toluca, México.

A Day in the Life
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned commodities.
  • Negotiate and establish commodity prices to achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Manage contracts, purchase orders, and supplier relationships to ensure compliance and resolve issues.
  • Track and report on sourcing status, cost savings, and process improvements.
  • Coach and mentor other buyers while supporting departmental knowledge transfer.
Who We're Looking for — Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience in sourcing, procurement, or commodity management.
  • Advanced English Level.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work onsite in Toluca and occasional day / overnight travel.
Desired
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry and assigned commodities.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), business acumen, and problem‑solving ability.
  • Experience in workflow improvement and analytical techniques (quote review, bundling analysis).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Reporting line

Reports to: Purchasing Manager. Supervisory capacity: Peer coaching and mentoring of other buyers (no direct reports).
