Purpose of the role:

Represent Euromonitor by working with senior executives at leading advertising agencies, banks, consultancies (ABC), and corporations worldwide to drive growth and retention. Build credibility and confidence in Euromonitor’s products and services. The Business Development Account Manager (BDAM) will demonstrate our leadership in data analytics and market research, expanding business with existing clients and creating new relationships across organizations. This involves engaging multiple business divisions and working closely with the London-based Global Account Directors (GADs), Global Account Managers (GAMs), and Client Consultants (CCs) to foster international account growth. The role includes retaining and growing Euromonitor’s syndicated systems and custom capabilities, and identifying client needs that can be met through Passport or custom solutions.

Success is achieved through:

  • Renewing existing contracts with ABC and corporate clients
  • Securing year-on-year revenue growth
  • Adding value to client relationships by assessing needs and recommending products/services
  • Scheduling and leading calls and meetings to understand client strategies
  • Expanding contacts within client organizations
  • Managing all sales stages to meet renewal and upsell targets

Responsibilities:

  • Understand client organization, strategy, and priorities to identify upsell opportunities and secure renewals
  • Devise and implement account strategies in collaboration with GAMs, GADs, and managers
  • Conduct outreach to engage new and existing contacts with Euromonitor content to generate leads
  • Collaborate with the Senior Product Specialist team to optimize resources
  • Work with Marketing to tailor campaigns
  • Provide expert research support through understanding Euromonitor’s products and methodology
  • Implement high-level engagements to showcase research expertise and increase client stickiness

Experience, Capabilities & Skills:

  • Proven excellence in current role, goal-oriented, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • 3+ years of successful sales experience
  • Experience working enterprise-wide with Agencies, Banks, or Consultancies
  • Experience with consultative selling techniques
  • Ambition for career growth
  • Comfort interacting across various levels and functions
  • Highly organized with excellent time management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, numeracy, and diplomacy skills
  • Effective use of Salesforce
  • Target-driven with ability to meet sales goals
  • Knowledge of consumer market trends (preferable)
  • Willingness to collaborate internationally
