A logistics management company based in Baja California is seeking an experienced leader for their freight control tower operations. This role involves managing logistics activities, driving cost-saving strategies, and facilitating project execution. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, at least 8 years of logistics experience (3+ years in management), and strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to work independently and handle complex data analysis is crucial to achieving operational excellence.

Formación

Descripción del empleo

This position is responsible for leading the AME (Mexico, United States, Brazil, etc..) freight control tower by managing all logistics operation activities (Incl. order to delivery, Freight & transportation, billing, Logistics service provider management, logistics projects, etc.) and support regional level logistics planning and Cost saving strategy in order to achieve business goal and drive operational excellence.

Logistics Operation
  • Trace and track daily shipments end to end and manage all exceptions with effective logistics solution
  • Drive logistics task force activities such as container detention/demurrage cost avoidance, freight recovery, customer freight reconciliation, etc.
  • Communicate with logistics service providers on issues and improvement opportunities regularly.
Project Management
  • Lead Freight Control Tower Project roadmap, SOP standardization and timely execute the projects in a way of six sigma
  • Drive origin & destination consolidation and mode optimization Initiatives for the AME region
  • Facilitate logistics or project meetings and managing the expectation from internal stakeholders and achieve alignment on the project result and service levels
Data analysis, Planning & Reporting
  • Deal with exceptional reports and potential claim negotiation with clear RCCA.
  • Perform QBR with strategic forwarders and manage 3PL KPI
  • Logistics cost analysis on regular basis and conduct special project
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics
  • +3 years in managerial roles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills in English and Spanish
  • Prior experience working on Logistics and Transportation field.
  • Microsoft Products and SAP or Oracle based TMS
  • Strong project management and presentation skill
  • Proven experience in people management
  • Work independently
