Job Summary
Accounting Coordinator will support the finance department by performing a variety of accounting and financial duties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, standards, and relevant regulations. The role requires assistance with the close process, analyzing financial data, performing account reconciliations, variance analysis, assisting with audits, and providing actionable insights for management.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for general ledger reporting and analysis, including the monthly-end and quarter-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Preparation of journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations.
- Review and reconcile prepaid expense, accrued liabilities, intercompany, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and record monthly accrual journal entries for expenses, payroll and other liabilities.
- Assist with the monthly review of financial statements.
- Ensure expenses are charged to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
- Work with the accounting and finance team to monitor budget performance and investigate discrepancies between actuals and forecast.
- Assist with supporting tax compliance
- Assess and analyze the impacts of foreign currency on the financial statements.
- Remain up to date with regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
- Assist with audit requests by providing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in the close process.

Education and Experience
- 5 plus years of experience in accounting, finance, and taxes.
- SAP (preferred) or other ERP experience (Oracle, NAVISION, Business Central, Hanna 4)
- Proficient with excel.
Physical Requirements & Work Setting
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
