We have one open position for an Oracle DBA with our client based in Milan or Bari, Italy. This is a permanent position. Below is the job description for your reference. Please share your application if you are interested.

Job Description

• The ideal candidate should have expert-level knowledge of Oracle technology, capable of handling complex issues independently, providing resolutions within SLAs, ensuring customer satisfaction, and adhering to policies and procedures.
• Preference will be given to candidates with creative thinking, a willingness to innovate, and a passion for working on challenging initiatives.
• The job holder is responsible for production support of Oracle databases and will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the production support team.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide permanent fixes.
• Investigate and resolve database performance issues.
• Lead the database team during crisis calls, participate in MIR and PIR calls, and mentor team members.
• Have experience and expertise in maintaining complex high-availability replication setups.
• Provide consultancy for complex setups and disaster recovery planning.
• Identify automation and self-healing opportunities, develop automation solutions to reduce manual efforts, and standardize processes.

Required Skills

• Strong technical knowledge of Oracle concepts such as RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate.
• Expertise in Oracle versions 12c and 19c, OEM.
• Build and deploy solutions, perform capacity and disaster recovery planning.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and provide solutions.
• Expertise in role swap, failover planning, and implementation.
• Strong knowledge of database space management.
• Experience in implementing releases and handling service requests.
• Expertise in GoldenGate replication.

Additional Skills

• Knowledge of Oracle Cloud.
• Knowledge of UNIX-based OS.
• Knowledge of MongoDB, Db2 LUW technologies.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, Tanium.
• Understanding of Agile practices and DevOps tools.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently, take ownership, and proactively address responsibilities.
• Clear, precise, and timely communication with customers, team members, and management.
