Senior Software Engineer

What you will do

The resource reporting to the Software Architect will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing firmware for ovens, induction hobs, and dishwashers, focusing on main and user interface firmware.

Activities and Responsibilities

• Extensive experience in C programming on 8 / 16 / 32-bit Microcontrollers and ARM Cortex, preferably Microchip, ST, and Renesas.
• Firmware development on real-time systems without an operating system.
• Knowledge of low-level registers, peripheral management, memory, interrupt handling, and serial communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, LIN BUS.
• Touch management, calibration, and performance optimization.
• Ability to read and understand existing code, even with missing specifications.
• Maintenance of existing software and reverse engineering from existing code.
• Module testing and integration testing.
• Proficiency with GIT version control framework.
• Experience with compilers and debuggers such as Microchip, Keil, IAR, GCC, Renesas e2 Studio, GDB.
• Hardware debugging on PCB, including electronic schematic analysis and use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, and external power supplies.
• Software release management and documentation.
• Re-engineering and maintaining source code for existing and new projects.

What you need to succeed

Must have

Professional experience : At least 5 years of embedded firmware development experience on 8 / 16 / 32-bit microcontrollers.

Proficiency in embedded systems, touch display technology, and writing scalable, modular code for both low and high levels in C language.

Education : Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.

Languages : Fluent in Italian and English.
