About the Role:

As aStrategic Account Managerwithin the Healthcare Solutions & Strategy (HS&S) team, you will lead strategic engagements with keyRegionalpublic healthcare institutions, governmental bodies, in the region and payer organizations. You willbe responsible fordeveloping long-term, high-impact partnerships with strategic public sector customers, ensuring alignment between their evolving healthcare needs and Boston Scientific’s portfolio of innovative products, services, and solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in navigating complex Regional public procurement processes, tender strategies, and supporting access initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and local authorities. This client-facing role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, experience in regional tenders, and a proven track record in driving value-based healthcare initiatives within large accounts and Regions.

The Strategic Account Manager will cooperate with the public affairs department to ensure resources and activities are aligned to the strategic priorities in the region.

In this role, you will be responsible to:
  • Lead the strategic account planning and execution process for majorRegionalpublic sector customers and tender-based markets.
  • Build andmaintainstrong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across clinical, administrative, and governmental entities.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across divisions to deliver tailored, value-driven healthcare solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert inRegionalpublic tenders,
  • Represent the full Boston Scientific portfolio, ensuring public accounts receive coordinated, best-in-class service and support.
  • Monitor relevant healthcare regulations, funding frameworks, and public procurement trends to shape strategy and proactivelyidentifyopportunities.
  • Support business unitobjectives, including revenue growth, margin optimization, and increased access to care through Boston Scientific innovations.
What are we looking for in you:
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in strategic account management, preferably in medical devices.
  • Demonstrated experience withpublic procurement,tender processes, orgovernment affairsin the healthcare sector.
  • Proven ability to navigate and influence complex stakeholder environments, including public health authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Strategic thinker with a pragmatic, results-driven approach to long-term customer engagement.
  • A demonstratedtrack recordin people management or matrix collaboration is highly valued, as this role requires effective operational coordination with high-performing professionals across the organization.
  • Native Italian, fluency in English – any additional European language will be considered a plus.
  • Based preferably in the area of Lombardia.
