A leading company in tools and equipment is seeking a Sales Manager to build and lead their offline distribution network in Italy. This remote role offers an opportunity to shape the market strategy and earn a competitive salary of €70,000–€80,000 plus bonuses. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in DIY sales, knowledge of major retail chains, and fluency in Italian and English.

With a presence in 200+ countries, this company is now entering the Italian market and looking for a Sales Manager to build and lead their offline distribution network. This is a unique opportunity to create something from scratch, shape the local market strategy, and be part of an exciting international expansion.

Location: Remote (based anywhere in Italy)

Employment Type: Full-time (local third-party agency contract)

Industry: E-commerce / Tools / DIY

Languages: Italian (native) + English (fluent)

Compensation: Base + performance bonus (OTE based on experience)

What You’ll Do
  • Build Italy’s offline distribution channel from the ground up
  • Establish partnerships with hardware cooperative unions such as BigMat, Ferritalia, Brico Io, Bricolife, Gruppo Made
  • Expand presence into key accounts and retail chains such as Leroy Merlin, Obi, and Bricoman
  • Identify and negotiate with regional distributors and wholesalers
  • Customize commercial terms and product ranges to fit the Italian market
  • Collaborate with internal teams in product development and marketing
What We’re Looking For
  • At least 5 years’ experience in DIY / tools / hardware sales and distribution
  • Proven knowledge of Brico chains (e.g., Leroy Merlin, Obi, Bricoman) or traditional hardware groups (e.g., BigMat, Ferritalia)
  • Established relationships with key buyers or purchasing platforms is a big plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently and build scalable processes
  • Native-level Italian and fluent English are mandatory
Offer & Contract
  • Full-time contract via local third-party agency (until in-country entity is set up)
  • Approx. €70,000–€80,000 base salary + attractive bonus structure
  • 100% remote role with international exposure
  • Opportunity to shape the entire market entry strategy for Italy
