As a Lead Commercial Proposal Manager within the Innio Jenbacher Gas Engines Regional Commercial Operations Team, your role is to support our regional sales and commercial team in technical and commercial aspects.

In this role, you will be responsible for four focus areas:
Sales/Commercial support and Engineering
  • Support regional sales and commercial teams on quotes with a strong link to Engineering
  • Independently create quotes for complex projects/BOP
  • Technically support the introduction of new products
  • Support Sales and commercial teams outside the assigned region on a case-by-case basis
  • Prepare all contract-relevant documents (calculations, specifications, etc.)
  • Support sourcing with generating and updating technical specifications
  • Maintain strong connections with engineering teams, e.g., in headquarters
  • Provide technical feedback and knowledge transfer during ITO/OTR phases to Engineering
  • Offer strong technical support to regional sales and commercial teams in negotiations with customers
  • Prepare and maintain sales documents (e.g., country-specific price lists, specifications, etc.)
  • Initiate product adaptations according to country-specific requirements
  • Introduce more cost-effective BOP solutions to enhance competitiveness
  • Collaborate closely with local OTR and Services teams for complex projects to ensure a smooth transition to the execution phase
Use and maintenance of sales/engineering tools
  • Software for creating technical specifications
  • ERP software for creating project-specific offers, calculations, configurations, and handover to production
  • Assist in further developing the BOP configurator
  • Utilize various applications for technical calculations (e.g., gas analysis, engine efficiency, etc.)
  • Proactively drive the setting of new standards in the BOP-Engineering tools environment (e.g., EBSILON)
  • Further develop the BOP standard component matrix
Risk Management
  • Elaborate technical and commercial special release documents for project-specific changes beyond our standard product program
  • Initiate, participate, and lead risk reviews
  • Check the technical conformity of our products
Your Profile:
  • An engineering degree (Electrical or Mechanical) and/or a commercial degree with technical experience
  • Several years of engineering and/or commercial experience in the relevant industry, preferably in the reciprocating engine industry
  • Experience in handling complex technical and/or commercial tasks with interdisciplinary thinking/acting
  • Strong team player
  • Experience working in a process-oriented environment
  • Good at interfacing between commercial and engineering functions
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory and to headquarters in Austria
  • Fluent in Italian and English; basic German skills are desirable
