An international EPC contractor is seeking a Junior HSE Specialist in Rome, Italy. This role involves supporting the HSE Management System, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and participating in safety audits. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, and strong skills in communication and MS Office tools. The position also requires an auditor qualification related to HSE Management Systems. Travel may be required as part of the role.

As an international EPC contractor specialized in delivering complex projects for the global energy sector, we are looking for a Junior HSE Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support the development and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System, while actively contributing to key HSE initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Management System;
• Assist in ensuring compliance with all applicable HSE standards, regulations, and company policies;
• Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of HSE documentation, including guidelines, procedures, and reports;
• Participate in internal and external audits, inspections, and certification processes (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001);
• Support the promotion and reinforcement of a strong safety culture across all project sites;
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to provide HSE support for ongoing EPC projects;
• Help identify potential hazards and contribute to risk assessments and mitigation actions;
• Assist in organizing and conducting HSE training sessions and awareness programs;
• Monitor HSE performance indicators and support the preparation of regular reports;

Gain hands‑on experience working in dynamic and challenging environments typical of large‑scale energy projects.

Requirements

• HSE Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the role, capable of independently managing the full life cycle of an EPC project, ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards throughout;
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical fields;
• Fluent in English spoken and written;
• Solid knowledge of MS Office tools Word, Excel, Outlook;
• Strong communication interpersonal skills;
• A proactive attitude, with a genuine interest in HSE topics;
• Auditor qualification and/or certifications related to HSE Management Systems;

Place of work: Parma (PR), with willingness to travel as required.
