The position

The Mechanical Completion Engineer reports to the Mechanical Completion Leader, within a project participates to the set-up of mechanical completion data base, as a Team member develops training program, provides feedback on issues related to Mechanical Completion, collects Lessons Learnt for the capitalization of the knowledge deriving from project experience.

Mechanical Completion Engineer ensures the execution of all aspects related to Mechanical Completion, both in Home Office and at Site.

Activities and main responsibilities
In home office
  • to set up construction / pre-commissioning / commissioning master ITP models
  • co-operate with mechanical completion coordinator, Engineering and Commissioning team to ensure that all the deliverables required to build the Completion Database are in line with the contractual requirements
  • to update in MILEMATE! the information prepared by the Engineering functions
  • to ensure the set up user account of nominated person of Construction Quality, in agreement with ICT
At site
  • to receive (by discipline supervisors or quality constructions inspectors) original punch list, recording them on the punch list record logbook
  • to take care of the punch list progress, maintaining the updated report of the closed items, monitoring the status of pending priority punch list in each subsystem and keeping Construction Management informed
  • to monitor discipline completion, issuing the Discipline Acceptance Certificate according to Handover Procedure, when a discipline is completed within a subsystem
Person specification
  • Education Level: high school diploma in technical disciplines
  • Relevant work Experience: at least 3-5 years of experience in the same position. Both home office and abroad experience suits the ideal candidate.
  • Availability to be relocated abroad for project working-period (12-24 months)

Stiamo cercando un Mechanical Engineer . Questa figura riporterà al Chief Technical Officer e lavorerà a stretto contatto con il team R&D per supportare la progettazione e realizzazione di modelli in scala e impianti pilota, con l’obiettivo di validare una tecnologia innovativa di pirolisi del metano.

In particolare, si occuperà di:
  • Supportare la progettazione, assemblaggio e test di un reattore termico su scala pilota basato su principi di fisica del plasma
  • Realizzare layout generali e disegni costruttivi con software CAD (es. SolidWorks) sotto la supervisione di un Senior Mechanical Engineer
  • Redigere specifiche tecniche e requisiti per componenti e sistemi
  • Preparare distinte base (BOM) e pacchetti di progettazione per l’approvvigionamento
  • Interfacciarsi con fornitori per specifiche tecniche, ordini e tracciamento acquisti
  • Svolgere analisi di bilanci termici, di massa ed energia, e semplici calcoli meccanici e termici
  • Garantire il rispetto delle normative e degli standard di settore
  • Collaborare all’assemblaggio, messa in servizio e operatività del reattore prototipale e, successivamente, dell’impianto pilota
Requisiti
Requisiti chiave:
  • Laurea in Ingegneria Meccanica (o titolo equivalente)
  • Almeno 5 anni di esperienza nella progettazione di sistemi termici, reattivi e a fluido (es. reattori termici, turbine a gas, forni industriali, impianti automotive, ecc.)
  • Ottima conoscenza dei principali software CAD 3D (CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CREO, ecc.) e degli standard GD&T
  • Capacità di leggere e generare P&ID, PFD e schemi elettrici
  • Solida comprensione di termodinamica, fluidodinamica (reattiva e non) e trasmissione del calore
  • Buone capacità comunicative scritte e orali
  • Attitudine pratica, proattività e capacità di lavorare sia in autonomia che in team
Costituiscono un plus:
  • Conoscenza della pirolisi del metano e dei processi per la produzione di idrogeno (Turquoise Hydrogen)
  • Esperienza con sensori di pressione/temperatura, flussimetri, regolatori, ecc.
  • Competenze in sistemi di controllo e software DAQ (DCS, HMI, PLC, National Instruments)

Role Purpose

As Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the engineering activities on a specific construction project. The activities associated with the project will vary and will be agreed with the Project Manager on an ongoing basis. Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities

In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows:

  • Colate all design documents and drawings
  • Attend project Handover Meetings

  • Preparation of co-ordinated drawings covering all aspects of the installation including mechanical, electrical sprinkler, structural and architectural elements
  • Review and understand project design specifications and drawings and access compliance of co-ordinated drawings and technical submittals.

  • Assist in the compilation and assessment of Technical Submittals.
  • Processing requisitions, generation of purchase orders.
  • Receipt verification (RV) of equipment and materials arriving on site.
