Location Our Senior Software Engineer will be an integral part of our Business Systems Engineering team. This role is based remotely as a full-time employee in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, Netherlands, Sweden, Spain and Israel. We are also open to contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

The Opportunity As a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Business Systems, you will plan, design, and implement improvements and new features for our critical billing and invoicing systems. You will be a key contributor to the ongoing development of these platforms and lead collaborations on integrations with other business systems. You will engage with stakeholders to identify challenges and guide the development of innovative solutions to streamline operations. You’ll work closely with product managers, finance teams, and other developers, participate in product decision-making, and have end-to-end ownership of projects to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of DoiT’s core financial operations.

• Leading feature implementation. From proposal, through specification and implementation, to maintenance. Propose new ideas and guide their execution.
• Collaborating with stakeholders. Engage with business stakeholders (finance and operations) to understand needs, identify inefficiencies in billing and invoicing processes, and lead development of technical solutions.
• Code reviews and mentorship. Review pull requests and mentor junior engineers on quality and maintainability.
• Improving codebase health. Help reduce technical debt; participate in a disciplined approach to code health and housekeeping.
• Technical leadership. Provide feedback and guidance; help plan upcoming work and mentor the team.

• 5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior technical role.
• Full Stack or Backend engineer with a desire to become Full Stack.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Go; knowledge of Python, React, and Node.js preferred. Experience with other languages is a plus; willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong knowledge of software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Experience with Git/GitHub; excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, self-motivated, thorough, and tenacious; able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Ability to engage with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Interest in optimizing business processes and solving operational challenges; proven experience leading technical projects from conception to deployment.

• Experience with Oracle NetSuite, DealHub, and Salesforce.
• Experience with business processing tools like Workato and Fivetran.
• Cloud experience and/or using Cloud services.
