Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Sales Manager – Indonesia, Weir dewatering.
  • Manage and grow portfolio of existing accounts while constantly seeking opportunities for new business, 50/50.
  • Build on existing client relationships and gain deep understanding of client needs and upcoming projects.
  • Generate pipeline of leads through prospecting & research as well as through warm leads.
  • Work cohesively with fellow sales team members and Aftermarket team to leverage skills to promote client confidence and grow relationship, promoting Weir growth in machine sales and spare parts.
  • Visible client interaction role with strong presentation skills and ability to communicate and influence decision makers – a must.
  • Spend a high portion of your time on the road visiting clients throughout your Territory 60/40.
  • Work strategically with your clients; help them solve problems and take advantage of opportunities.
  • Use strong listening skills and consultative selling approach to uncover pain points and solve business problems.
  • Create meaningful client relationships built on an in-depth understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Maximise opportunities to add value by upselling solutions.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
  • Technical sales experience in engineering, mining, minerals, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of mine dewatering and mine operations an advantage.
  • Trade or engineering qualification in engineering desirable (e.g., Diesel/ medium voltage electric or similar mechanical trade).
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and deliver results—ideally with mining industry and associated equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, and present to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Experience Sale Force or equivalent CRM system.
