About the role

PT Jaya Lite Indonesia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leader Purchasing to join our dynamic team. In this full‑time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing our purchasing operations, ensuring the efficient and cost‑effective procurement of materials and services to support the company's manufacturing and logistics activities. This position is based in Tangerang, Banten.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee and coordinate the purchasing activities of the team, ensuring timely and accurate procurement of materials and services
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies and policies to optimise cost savings and efficiency
• Manage relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance and addressing any issues or concerns
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production and logistics, to align purchasing activities with the company’s operational requirements
• Analyse purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
• Provide leadership and guidance to the purchasing team, including training and development
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to purchasing and procurement

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing, logistics and construction industry
• Understanding and experience related to the customs clearance process
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers
• Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a focus on cost‑effectiveness and efficiency
• Proficient in using purchasing software and data analysis tools to optimise purchasing processes
• Thorough understanding of supply chain management, logistics, and manufacturing operations
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing guidance and support for professional development
• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred
