This is an exciting time to join Remote and make an impact in the global employment space as a Staff Product Designer joining our Product Design team. Design at Remote is a 40+ person multi-disciplinary team of designers and creatives passionate about crafting experiences and touch-points that help Remote scale, attract, hire, manage and pay anyone, anywhere.

As Staff Product Designer, you’ll be an IC leader who drives craft excellence across several teams or a large area and will advocate and collaborate with product designers, engineers, product managers and stakeholders worldwide.

What you bring
  • An individual contributor designer with exemplary experience designing, evolving and innovating user interfaces.
  • Ability to empathise with enterprise users and apply user-centered design techniques to scale solutions.
  • A strong portfolio showing holistic, scalable systems and mastery of visual and interaction design fundamentals.
  • Commitment to consistency and building things systematically, while knowing when to prioritise innovation.
  • Masterful communication skills to articulate design work, provide direction, and collaborate with peers and stakeholders in fluent English.
  • Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with ownership of design for complex domains and multiple projects.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with product and engineering to build consensus and drive outcomes.
  • Influence on design system, product experience, quality, culture and ways of working.
  • Preference for candidates with experience designing complex B2B SaaS solutions (e.g., HRTech, FinTech).
  • Candidates who embody Remote core values.
  • Remote work experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design for your domain, guiding core features and future functionality.
  • Mentor and collaborate to raise the team’s quality and maturity.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs, generate ideas, validate solutions and implement to a high standard.
  • Work autonomously, packaging and presenting solutions quickly to the team.
  • Create user flows from low- to full-fidelity designs that lead to intuitive experiences.
  • Contribute to and maintain our design system, participate in critiques, lead cross-domain initiatives and facilitate workshops.
  • Collaborate with engineering to build scalable components and maintain parity between design and implementation.
  • Leverage AI prototyping to explore ideas and bring them to life with functional flows.
  • Deliver high-quality work with openness to new methods and ways of working.
  • Champion usability, scalability and accessibility across work.
  • Actively contribute to a cross-functional culture with peer support and feedback.

Remote Compensation Philosophy

Remote’s Total Rewards philosophy ensures fair compensation and equity across locations, with competitive benefits. We pay above in-location rates and aim to hire globally while supporting local wealth. Salary bands are geo-adjusted and depend on role, level and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is USD 68,500 to USD 154,100. Actual pay depends on location, experience, skills and market conditions. The base salary range may change over time.

Remote fosters internal mobility as part of employee growth, and compensation changes for internal moves are reviewed case by case.
