Job summary

A leading petrochemical company in Indonesia is seeking a Safety Manager to develop and enforce safety policies at a project site. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree, at least 7 years of experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Projects, and strong knowledge of HSE regulations. Responsibilities include compliance monitoring and incident investigation. This is a contract-based position with specific project placement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Project.
  • Experience in EPC Projects essential.
  • Proven supervisory role within SHE management.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in accordance with company, local, and government regulations.
  • Monitor compliance of safety programs through audits, inspections, spot checks, and regular plant walk-throughs.
  • Instruct workers to improve safety performance in the details of the work they perform.
  • Analyze accident statistics to establish necessary precautions and changes needed for facility safety.
  • Regularly inspect and review project operations to assure compliance of all permits operation and equipment are within company and government regulations.
  • Review all safety documents, policies, procedures, and incident reports. Drive change through developing corrective actions related to root cause, indirect cause, and direct cause, as well as providing training on corrective actions to affected team members.
  • Investigate all safety-related incident reviews and incident reports and complete necessary reports for risk management system and corporate safety office.
  • Demonstrate safety culture promotion throughout the organization including encouraging workers to report hazards, unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and near-misses.
Qualifications
  • Diploma/Bachelor Degree in related major
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Project, especially with experience in EPC Projects.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within SHE management in medium and large-size project construction and in operation.
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Willing to work as contract-based (1 year), and this position will be placed at site office project.
